Michelle finally found a job at Kohl’s! She will be working in the same shopping center with me! So I may or may not see her around there…depends on how they are going to work her. I know I’m always randomly at my work, but maybe they will be able to be steadier for her. One thing is for sure…my mom LOVES Kohl’s. I know where she will be from now on lol.

Here are the pictures from the pirate party I did as Jack Sparrow. I got there kind of early and found that only the birthday kid was there. Doh. Everyone came 30 mins late. This sucks for the lady who paid me. I was only scheduled to be there for an hour because I had to go to work right afterwards lol. When we finally got started, it was a lot of fun. We had a treasure hunt, gold, prizes, and awesomeness. Don’t ask me what I was looking at in the last picture because I think it was the sword. lol.

I got a call from Steven about our set design, and he wanted me to design an entrance to the Berry Blast theme park. Now how can I expand on something I’ve already thought I poured out all my ideas into? So I came up with this, and our set people built 2 huge columns to go along side of the slide. I wasn’t sure if I was going to blog about it…but I decided why not lol. What do u guys think?

I was on my way to yet another amazing day at sandals and I ran into Daley Hake. We had a short conversation about photography (which i always love) and he snapped a picture. Having no time to prepare, I got a cameo on Daley’s Blog with my hair all messed up (ok maybe it’s always like that). I have decided it’s time for a haircut.
P.S. Sandals people are so rad.

Today me and Michelle went to go to court for my traffic ticket. I got there around 7:30 (which was early because my court time was at 8:00), and found myself waiting in a line already. An hour later I went into the court room seeing the officer that gave me a ticket. Oh great, he showed up, I thought. There were about 20 other people in the room, and at the beginning they told half of the people that were in there that their tickets were dismissed. My name unfortunately wasn’t called so I sat there for another hour till 9:30. Finally it was close to my turn to go up. I was practically last because of my last name (ugh every time). The case before mine was with the same police officer and had the same story. They “ran” a stop sign. With their verdict being guilty I was starting to sweat it out a bit. The police officer stayed up there and told the judge he had another case. To my surprise he said, “Oh I don’t have the notes with me for this case so I’m going to dismiss the case.” I was sooo surprised. I thanked the officer as I left and head down to see Michelle. As you can see me and Michelle were ‘buzzing’ with excitement … well at least she was! So we went off looking at Halloween costumes. What a great day!

Last Wednesday we (i mean ‘I’ from my dad) acquired a huge quantity of bread. I took about three boxes full to our small groups to see if anyone wanted them. I ended up coming home with two bags of bread that got so squished that no one wanted them. Michelle came up with a great idea for what we could do with it. So the next day we set off to Fairmount Park, to feed the local ducks. When we got there we found like three ducks and began feeding them. They began to ‘quack’ with excitement and I began to notice other ducks heading our way. In a matter of minutes we had about 40 to 50 ducks surrounding us from the water and on land wanting food. I’ve never seen that many ducks ever, much less surround me!

All we need is love. Isn’t that so true? Often I think about what love is and how it effects me. Unfortunately, I tend to come up short in giving out my love. Why? Because it hurts. Not the act of giving it, the act of being rejected. This week at Sandals we started talking about love. Not love like sex or love of things but loving people unconditionally.
Why would we want to do that? I mean, why should I love everyone I meet? Why not care only about myself, my friends, God, my family, and Michelle.
Because Jesus had this thing; this thing He wanted us to do. What was it? Love others. He tell us, “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other” (John 13:34 NLT). This brought up the question how has God loved me? If you would of asked me a few years ago I would of said the classic text book Bible answer, “He died on the cross for my sins…(while rolling my eyes).” How has God loved me differently today? The answer: Not any different today than from back then. What is different is the way I view His love. His unconditional love. His compassionate love. His unending love. Even when I’m at the worst point in my life I think I can be in … He is ready to accept me back as soon as I want Him to. I’ve been sooooo unfaithful to God that I dont deserve Him, yet He’s still there working in my life. I’ve been continually blessed in soo many ways.
Jesus Says this,
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! (John 15:5-7 NLT).”
Even when I fail, I can still come back to Him. Coming back to God will produce fruit and life in us. Living this way is hard. Often I find myself not wanting to forgive others or myself for things. Ultimately I come back to God’s infinite grace. I must do my best to live the life He wants for me. The next part of the verse is something I immensely struggle with. It’s love. All my life I’ve struggled with love. So many times I’ve been hurt and it makes me not want to love people.
When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me. You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. This is my command: Love each other. John 15:8-17 NLT
Jesus wants me to love people. This is my next big goal I need to work on in my life. Loving people. That is the one thing Jesus commanded and it’s the one thing I have the worst time doing. Imagine what we could accomplish with love. Maybe the people in the 70’s who wanted love were right. All we do need is love; we need to do it in such a way that it changes the world.
Prayer: God give me the compassion to love others.

So i was helping out my cousin yesterday when it hit me. Maybe i should start my own Automobile Company! Where could i start this? Germany! Yes, Germany. Why? Because I’m German of course! I’ll call it … Voges Automobile. Yes that will do. The slogan will be … Fair Prices all over the place! Ok Ok. As you can guess I didn’t really do this. I did find a website that is in Germany for this company. I love my name! lol.
So i just got the ok for the pipeline logo for the new series. I really dont know much about the series other than its about roller coasters and fruits of the spirits. *shrug.* This is what i came up with, what do you guys think?

Last week was the final week that Carlos played as worship leader at Sandals. He is heading to Georgia to join a great ministry over there. Buckethead Church I believe? I donno. I do know he will be missed and here is the final video of the night service. Unfortunately I missed most of this weeks worship and I don’t think Sandals has announced a new worship leader yet. One thing I do know is it doesn’t matter who they choose even though I have a hard time with change. I’m constantly reminding myself that it is not about a man, it’s about God. This week we sang Hosanna from Hillsong United and the bridge really stuck out this week. I’m just going to leave you with the lyrics…
heal my heart and make it clean
open up my eyes to the things unseen
show me how to love like You have loved me
break my heart for what breaks Yours
everything i am for Your Kingdom’s cause
as i walk from earth into eternity

Since my last post…my comp has been crashed. Dang windows. I blame the little penguin from Linux. Some .DLL file was “corrupt”. Meanwhile I have been playing with Linux some more and there are a few things I like about it and some I don’t. I like how fast it is, easy to find stuff, and free stuff. Things I don’t like is the not understandability of what I’m doing, lack of what I can use from windows, difficulty with working behind the scenes of what I want done. Finally, last night we (and by we I mean my dad while I was at work) fixed my computer doing a system restore from the windows disk. Good times.
